The International Olympic Committee is looking for a

Senior manager strategic development and corporate planning (m/f/d)

In this role your mission will be to facilitate IOC strategic developments, contribute to IOC corporate planning and to support IOC leadership in continuously evolving the organization.

What will I do?

Strategic development

  • Support the political level in the development of the strategic roadmap and the reporting of it
  • Facilitate the connection of IOC political roadmap with the strategic developments
  • Identify and promote synergies between the various strategic developments, highlighting best practices, proposing common frameworks and drawing links and connections
  • Ensure high-level monitoring of external trends impacting the IOC and foster strategic innovation
  • Based on IOC priorities and needs, support departments in the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives by providing strategy and planning support
  • Structure and animate a community regrouping IOC’s strategic positions to frame and connect the organisation’s strategic efforts
  • Contribute to the identification, structure and roll-out of potential external partnerships that enrich the strategic development

Corporate planning and support to IOC departments and entities

  • Translate strategic roadmap into mid-term and annual plans
  • As part of the internal planning processes, support departments in the submission of their plans (quadrennium or yearly)
  • Consolidate department plans to provide IOC leadership with high-level IOC-wide view of challenges, progress on priority areas
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the IOC’s activities, business functions, services, products and activities to better integrate in the context and review of the plan
  • Support the PBC in the implementation of the plan and the related decision making
  • Monitor and report, where necessary, the effective implementation of the agreed plans
  • Ensure the link between planning and PMO to provide contextualisation and appropriate information

Evolution of the organisation and continuous improvement

  • Work with HR and other departments to translate plans and objectives into the right structures and competencies
  • In collaboration with departments and HR, support head of strategic development in proposing improvements and optimisations (structures, synergies, collaboration, etc)
  • Assist with the process of transforming the organisation (processes, tools, etc.)

What am I bringing to the team?

  • Post-graduate diploma (Master’s, MBA, etc.) or professional experience deemed equivalent to this.
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in the field of management consultancy, strategic planning, corporate development, project management organisation, etc.
  • Experience in driving organisational transformation initiatives in multicultural context – Non profit organization environment
  • Mother tongue English or French, with excellent oral and written knowledge of the other language.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
